Building Hockey Foundations

The U11 program is for players aged 9 and 10. This is a key development stage where players continue building core hockey skills while learning team play, competition, and commitment.

Program Overview

North SEERA follows the Hockey Alberta U11 Pathway and provides a supportive, challenging environment for players at all skill levels.

Teams compete city-wide through the Edmonton Federation Hockey League, with tiering following the Alberta One Standardized Tiering Model.

Team Structure

  • 13–18 skaters
  • 1–2 goalies
  • Number of teams depends on registration
  • Independent evaluation provider

What to Expect

Games

League games are played across the Edmonton area with balanced competition.

Practices

Teams have regular practices throughout the season to support player development.

Tournaments

Teams may participate in tournaments and exhibition games throughout the season.

Development

Players may have access to power skating, skills sessions, and goalie development.

COMPETITIVE STREAM

U11 Competitive Stream — NS401

North SEERA’s top U11 team provides a more competitive and development-focused experience for players seeking additional ice time, structured development, and a higher level of competition.

This program includes an increased time commitment and additional development opportunities.

U11 AA Pathway

U11 AA is managed at the club level and is not part of North SEERA. Players interested in AA must register with their designated club based on elite boundaries.

If your player is not selected, they are welcome to return and register with North SEERA.
