How to Register

Registration for North SEERA Hockey is completed through Spordle. Whether you're brand new to hockey, returning for another season, or transferring from another association, this page will help guide you through the process.

NEW HOCKEY FAMILIES

Save $100 on Equipment

First-time hockey families may be eligible for a $100 discount on a starter equipment package through Hockey Edmonton and United Cycle.

New Families

Welcome to North SEERA Hockey. Follow the steps below to create your Spordle account and complete registration for your player.

Step 1 — Create a Spordle Account

Create your HCR 3.0 Spordle account and add your player using their legal name and birthdate.

Step 2 — Complete The Shift Forward

New hockey families may be required to complete The Shift Forward parent course before registering.

Step 3 — Prepare Your Documents

New families will be required to upload Alberta Health Care, Birth Certificate or Passport, and Proof of Residency documents.

Step 4 — Register Through Spordle

Registration opens June 1, 2026. Once registration is open, select the appropriate division and complete payment through Spordle.

First-Time Hockey Equipment Discount: Families registering a child in hockey for the first time may be eligible for $100 off a starter equipment package through Hockey Edmonton and United Cycle. Contact our Operations Manager to learn more.

Volunteer Deposit: All players are required to have an undated $250 volunteer commitment cheque on file, payable to North SEERA.

Returning Families

Returning players can log into their existing HCR 3.0 Spordle account and complete registration for the upcoming season once registration opens.

Step 1 — Log Into Spordle

Use the same HCR 3.0 Spordle account used in previous seasons.

Step 2 — Update Your Information

Review and update player details, emergency contacts, and medical information before registering.

Step 3 — Register Through Spordle

Registration opens June 1, 2026. Once registration is open, select your player’s division and complete payment through Spordle.

Important Note — Club Tryouts

Players trying out for Club programs are not required to register immediately, but families must email North SEERA with their intent to return if their player does not make Club.

Volunteer Deposit: Most returning families already have a volunteer cheque on file from previous seasons. If a new cheque is required, you will be contacted.

Transferring Families

Families transferring from another hockey association may have additional approval or residency requirements before registration can be completed.

Moving Into North SEERA?

Families moving into the North SEERA catchment area should contact our Operations Manager to confirm eligibility.

Complete the Hockey Alberta Parent Declaration Form

Use opsmanager@northseera.ca in the “Minor Hockey Association Submission” field.

Requesting a Transfer From Outside Our Catchment?

Families requesting a transfer outside residency boundaries must follow Hockey Edmonton player movement policies and procedures.

Register Through Spordle Once Approved

Once approved, families can complete registration through Spordle when registration opens.
