Tournaments & Events
Tournaments and special events are a highlight of every hockey season. This section includes information on travel permits, tournament sanctions, Minor Hockey Week, Timbits Jamborees, and other key events throughout the season. Please plan ahead, as some events and travel requests require advance approval.

Team Events & Fundraisers
Planning to host or attend a tournament? Sanctioning is required for tournaments involving Hockey Alberta teams. Teams attending out-of-province events may also require additional approval.
Travel permits are required for tournaments, exhibition games, and practices held outside Edmonton. Requests should be submitted at least 5 business days in advance.
Held every January, Quickcard Minor Hockey Week is the largest minor hockey tournament in the world. All U9–U13 teams participate in this city-wide tournament.
- Game schedules are typically released in early January
- Each team is guaranteed at least one game
- Winning teams advance round by round
Hockey Edmonton hosts fun-focused Timbits Jamborees for all U7 teams each season — typically one in December and one in March.
- Free for all U7 teams
- A fun way to celebrate the season with other local associations
- Schedules are typically released closer to each event date
Teams are encouraged to organize their own social events and fundraising activities throughout the season. Events should remain respectful, inclusive, and aligned with North SEERA team policies and expectations.
