Travel Permit Process
If your team plans to travel outside Edmonton for a game, practice, or tournament, you must request a travel permit through Hockey Edmonton at least 5 business days in advance.
- Visit the Hockey Edmonton Permit Request Page
- Submit the appropriate permit form
- Include your team name, age group, event details, and contact information
- Once approved, keep a copy of the permit with your manager or coach during the event
Exhibition Games
Teams planning a non-league exhibition game must request approval through Hockey Edmonton before the game takes place.
- Submit permit requests at least 5 business days before the game
- Permits are required for both home and away exhibition games
- Ensure referees are booked and informed of the game format
- Keep approved permits available during the event
Out-of-Town Practices
Teams planning practices outside the Edmonton area must obtain approval through Hockey Edmonton before the ice time takes place.
- Submit a Practice Permit request through the Hockey Edmonton portal
- Include full location, time, and team information
- Ensure all participants are properly rostered and insured
- Follow all Hockey Alberta safety and supervision requirements
